Rainy day in Paris.

Last night was a blast going to the top if the Eiffel Tower! It was so neat to see the whole city! Then we bought some food and beer and ate in the park directly underneath. At 10pm they light the Tower so it looked like it was sparkling!

Today we saw that it was going to be another gloomy day. We tried to go to the Chateau de Versailles but were informed that it is closed on Mondays. So we walked to the shopping district down near the Arc de Triomphe. My one pair of black tights tore so I needed to get a new pair. Every little shop was selling them for at least 20 euro and I knew H&M would be cheaper. As we were walking it started to sprinkle and get a bit windy. Luckily we found the massive 3 story H&M and I got my tights for 2 for 7 euro. Take that overpriced shops!!!

Of course I had to stop into Gap and get a pair of black trousers (on sale and nice enough for work as well). Shorts do not cut it out here! Do not listen to people who say not to wear jeans! Everyone does! Shorts and dress outfits are cute but I've been so cold this past week.

Anyhow. It started pouring rain and the wind was blowing so hard that it was making the rain fall horizontally. We ducked into a McDonalds to use wi-fi and so I could change into pants. Our feet are soaking at this point. :/

So we decided to head back to the studio... in the rain. After the somewhat awful walk back we grabbed our laundry and went to la laverie to wash our clothes. We needed a bit of help but we figured it all out eventually! As our clothes are washing we went to the market to get food for lunch and dinner. The farther you go away from the monuments, the cheaper things are!

Now we are waiting for our clothes to dry. We will probably just take it easy today. Grab a cappuccino and sit near the Tower. Tomorrow we'll go exploring again! :)
