Roseola can suck it.

That's right. Suck it. Poor Parker got roseola right after Christmas and it was the worst! It started off with a really high feet in the middle of the night. I mean, he was burning up and I could feel the heat coming off of him. So of course we gave him tylenol and I nursed him and rocked him until he went back to sleep. The fever stayed for a couple of days on and off. He was lethargic and didn't want to eat or play or anything. Just snuggle and sleep. It was so sad to see my perky little happy boy be so down. We thought it was maybe a cold or the flu.

Then there was a calm before the storm… the fever was gone and he was perking up a little bit. I laid him down for his first nap like normal and when I got him up he was coooovereeeed in a rash! It was all over his face, head, back and belly. There were a few spots on his arms and legs but dang it was awful.

As it turns out, a couple of his other friends had gotten roseola right before him and it's contagious before you know you have it. Luckily it isn't painful or serious so we just had to ride it out. Ibuprofen and Tylenol on rotation all day, lots of snuggles and Mickey too.

Tucson Children's museum

Had so much fun playing at the Children's Museum with our friends! Parker loves his Ella's. They actually have a lot of things for little ones! It was great because there weren't many people there so we practically had the whole place to ourselves! 

Christmas tiiiiime!

Christmas is the best holiday. Ever. I love decorating the house and buying gifts and wrapping gifts and celebrating Jesus and spending time with family. It's all just so magical and happy and lovey.

Parker got to meet the big guy today. He was fascinated with his beard. 

we heart the zoo

First trip to the zoo today with our cousins! Parker loved feeding the giraffes and looking at the peacock. I think because he got to be so close to them. Other than that he'd rather people watch. :)

turkey day

Thankful that my family came down to Tucson to spend Thanksgiving with us! Parker loved the food (not surprised) and spending time with his Auntie Shay, Uncle John, Nana, Poppa, Grandpa and Nana!  I love holidays. 

Halloween

For Halloween parker got to be a little turtle! He always sucks in his lower lip and makes a "turtle face" so I just had to! Plus he's crawling around so it is just hilarious to see him in the little costume!

The Momtourage had a little halloween party and we dressed all the babies up in their costumes! So much cuteness in one room! We love themed playdates!

I'm a bear, duh. 

Michigan

We took Parker on his first flight to Michigan! There was a 3 hour time difference but since Parker is doing so well on his schedule we decided to keep him on AZ time. I was not about to go through that schedule training again! Matt grew up in a small town called Mattawan which doesn't sound like a real place but it totally is. 

We didn't waste any time going outside to see the gorgeous fall colors and enjoy the cool weather. We even braved the rain one day and hit up a pumpkin patch! My favorite was going to an apple orchard where they made cider and wait for it… donuts!!! Holy cow you'd better believe we bought one of each kind! 

It was so great to see Matt's family and have them all meet Parker!
