Today is officially week 6! I still sometimes can't believe that I'm pregnant. I have checked the tests a hundred times and go through the list of symptoms daily to prove it to myself. The first week (after I found out so week 4 really) I felt like crap. Cramps and bloating and backache and stomach ache. Now I'm back to normal! I drink a lot more water and watch what I eat if course. No sushi or coffee boooo!
Tomorrow is exciting because we are telling the family. We took a picture with a chalk board announcement and put them in sealed envelopes. I'm going to have everyone open them at the same time. Yay!
It'll be fun to go back to Phoenix. We're going to stop by Olive Mill for breakfast. Yum! I miss those waffles.

Finally!
I woke up today and I'm not bloated! Seriously it's been like a week of gross bloated stomach. Once I actually start showing I won't care because there will be a baby in there, not just a growing ball of cells.
Last night was no fun though. I had a backache and cramps that would come and go. Matt is such a trooper! He rubbed my back every time it hurt. I hope those symptoms fade as I get farther along.
Oh and tonight we're supposed to go out to dinner with new friends. They suggested somewhere with "fun drinks". Typically I usually do get a fun drink when we go out so I know people will catch on when I just order water. I'm not sure how to avoid telling people that I'm pregnant for these next few weeks! It's gonna be so hard not to blab!

sighhhhh
Going on week 3 of living in the extended stay hotel and boy does it suck! It's like living in a flat since it's just one big room. The dogs hate it too. They whine and have no room to run and play. :(
I haven't been able to make a decent meal, print/laminate school things, have time on my own, or do laundry. I'm getting cabin fever. Tucson is not making a good first impression.

poppy seed
According to TheBump.com I am approximately 4 weeks along and the estimated due date is March 22, 2013.
Our little blastocyst (that's what it's called right now) is the size of a poppy seed! I am super bloated and have had cramps the last few days on and off. Nothing out of the ordinary though and no bleeding. I think I log onto TheBump five times a day to see what's normal, what I can't eat, what to expect, and read about other pregnancy experiences. I even downloaded their app.
I scheduled our first appointment which is on July 27th. I hope these next 2 weeks go by fast! I hate not telling people!!! I want to share the news but at the same time I know that it's important to wait until 12 weeks. I'm trying to think of creative ways to let people know instead of just using Facebook. Our parents and siblings will of course know first. Then close friends and extended family. I'm sure the news will spread from there. I have some fun ideas though!!! By the time I post this you all will have already received the news so yay!
We are so blessed to have this little one!

OMGosh
So as I was driving home from training I decided to stop and pick up an at home pregnancy test. I don't know exactly why, I just was thinking about it that day. Matt and I decided that we wanted to try to plan a birth in the springtime so that I wouldn't miss much of school. We heard from people that it takes time to get pregnant and it usually doesn't happen right away. Of course we decided to start a month early so that we would have a baby in April/May. Perfect right?
So back to the pregnancy test. I walk into the CVS by our hotel and go to the "family planning" area. I picked up every one of those tests and read about the accuracy and whatever before I grabbed the First Response (came with a bonus one, sweet!). I wanted to pull a Juno and just take it in the bathroom of CVS but I resisted. When I got to the hotel (ugh that sounds awful, I wish our house was done) I immediately went into the bathroom and got to business.
I flipped the thing upside down to resist peeking but after about 45 seconds I couldn't wait. To my surprise I saw TWO pink lines. Two means pregnant! I paced back and fourth in the room saying "Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh." over and over like a crazy person. Then I decided to chug some water and take another test. I took the dogs out as I gulped down another bottle of water and processed those two pink lines. When I came back in I went to the bathroom and tried another test. It was positive too! I got on the computer and checked that two pink lines meant pregnant, and compared them with other images.
Then I thought "How do I tell Matt?" I grabbed my keys and drove to Target. I purchased a set of cute grey onesies (neutral of course) and a gift bag. I had about 10 minutes before Matt came home but I still had to make this news fun. I put the tests and onesies in the back and waited... impatiently.
When he came in I handed him the bag and told him I had bought a gift. I think that he was confused and in shock when he pulled out the onesies and the tests.
We still both don't feel like it's real, but we are so excited!!!
